I make a different variation of these delicious and fairly healthy bliss balls each week. They are gluten, dairy and refined sugar free and full of good fats and proteins as well as the awesome benefits of the Essential Oils. Lemon and Ginger are both good for cleansing and digestion as well as being wonderful for immunity at this time of year!
I’m addicted to Tahini at the moment and it goes so well with the lemon flavour.
Ingredients:
1 cup nut meal (almond/hazelnut/chestnut)
1/2 cup desiccated coconut
1 cup dates (soaked in hot water and drained)
1/4 cup sunflower & chia seeds
1 tbsp tahini
Method:
Place the ingredients into your processor in the order listed above and blend until the mixture resembles a sticky crumb. Use your hands to shape the mixture into balls. Roll the balls in the extra coconut and place in the fridge to set.
So easy to make and they are a great pick me up in the afternoon instead of chocolate or coffee! If you really need the choc / caffeine hit then substitute the tahini (or in addition to it) add in 2 tbsp Raw Cacao powder (and replace the Lemon oil for Peppermint and the Ginger oil for Cinnamon).
ENJOY and let me know how you go in the comments!
